Hey, I’m Erin!

I turn chaos into confidence… one dog and one human at a time!

Where my own chaos became confidence

Hi, I’m Erin—trainer, treat dispenser, chaos coordinator, and the human behind Edit Dog Training. My goal is simple: help dogs and their people understand each other better, laugh a little more, and enjoy life together without the daily struggle.

I’ve spent years working with everything from wiggly puppies to spicy terriers to anxious seniors, and there’s nothing I love more than watching a dog finally go, “Ohhh… that’s what you wanted!” I’m a balanced trainer who believes in clear communication, fair boundaries, and making training fun and rewarding for everyone involved.

I’m also an assistant nosework instructor with Dayton Dog Training Club and an evaluator for AKC Canine Good Citizen, Farm Dog, and the AKC Temperament Test. When I’m not working with client dogs, you’ll usually find me competing with my own in rally, barn hunt, agility, scent work, and dock diving. I jumped into the dog-sport world in 2017 and haven’t slowed down since—collecting titles, muddy shoes, and way too many ribbons along the way.

Training with me means your dog isn’t just another number in a big facility. They’re welcomed into a real-home environment where learning feels safe, structured, and tailored to them. Whether your pup needs manners, confidence, or a full behavior edit (see what I did there?), I’m here to help you turn frustration into progress and stress into success.

At Edit Dog Training, we keep things real, fair, and genuinely fun—because good training shouldn’t feel like a chore. It should feel like a team effort you’re proud of.
